Inspectorate in Croatia Orders Withdrawal of Suspicious Beverages from the Market

(Patria) - The State Inspectorate has temporarily banned the placing on the market and ordered the withdrawal of suspicious products that led to several cases of poisoning in Croatia.

Recall, it is about a series of products: Romerquelle Blueberry Pomegranate 300ml, Coca Cola Original taste 500ml, Coca Cola 2L Original taste and Zero.

Members of the Fortenova Group - Konzum, Velpro, Tisak and Roto Dinamic - have decided independently and preventively to withdraw all Coca-Cola soft drinks from their stores.

"With the primary goal of protecting the health of our customers and all other stakeholders, and a responsible approach to overall business, members of the Fortenova Group - Konzum, Velpro, Tisak and Roto Dinamic, on their own initiative and preventively, are withdrawing the entire range of soft drinks produced by Coca-Cola from their retail and wholesale network.

This temporary decision of the Fortenova Group will remain in effect until we receive official information on product safety and instructions for action from the relevant institutions and the manufacturer," they stated in a press release.
