Hooligans failed this time: Weakened Croatia defeated the mighty European champions - Spain

The last two matches of the European Championship in Group D were played. In a spectacular match we watched, Croatia celebrated against Spain after a comeback with a score of 2:1. Although they played without five standard players, including Luka Modrić and Mario Mandžukić, Croatia managed to turn the score around and win 2:1 against the defending champions.

Already in the 7th minute, Alvaro Morata scored the leading goal for the Spaniards, but the Croats did not give up. They equalized in the last minute of the first half when Nikola Kalinić scored a beautiful goal assisted by Ivan Perišić.

In the 72nd minute, Sergio Ramos took a penalty in a terrible way, so Subašić almost caught the ball. The punishment came three minutes before the end when the fantastic Ivan Perišić scored a goal after a counter-attack for the victory of the Croats, who took first place.

However, besides the victory, judging by the initial reactions, the Croats are also happy that there were no disturbances. Hooligans did not get a chance to spoil the neighbours' enjoyment this time, writes NAP. We remind you that in Croatia's last match in the group against the Czech Republic, hooligans interrupted the match, which ultimately resulted in a draw for Croatia, although they were leading 2:1. Even before this match, there were fears of a similar outcome, but strong police forces and security measures gave the hooligans no chance.

In the second match of the group, the Turks finally played the real football that was expected, and they celebrated with a score of 2:0 against the Czech Republic. When the Croats conceded a goal from Spain, the Turks also scored through Burak Yılmaz, assisted by the exceptional talent Emre Mor.

Ozan Tufan sealed the victory in the 65th minute of the match. Croatia finished the group in first place with 7 points, the Spaniards were second with 6, then the Turks with 3, while the Czech Republic remained with one point.
