(Patria) - The president of IDS Dalibor Paus commented today on the announcement by the president of the local committee of the island of Unije, the furthest island in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, to call a referendum for separation from that county and annexation to the Istrian County.
- The residents of Unije have our support to be part of the Istrian County, if they wish. Unije is an Istrian island and must not be forgotten.
If the majority decides that they want to be part of the Istrian County, we will welcome them. Our region is the most developed in Croatia, open and inclusive. You are welcome - Paus said.
