(Patria) - Minister of Economy in the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Ante Šušnjar, told the media today that certain documents related to the Southern Gas Interconnection will be signed during the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) taking place in Dubrovnik on April 28 and 29. The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Borjana Krišto, will also attend the summit. In the official announcement from the Council of Ministers of BiH, Krišto will hold a series of bilateral meetings with the leaders of the participating countries and international officials.
“We are fulfilling and will fulfill all our obligations prescribed by the European Commission and the EU. We will sign certain documents related to the Southern Gas Interconnection. We are still defining certain articles of that agreement if an Agreement is to be signed,” Šušnjar stated.
The portal Istraga.ba previously reported that an intergovernmental Agreement would not be signed, but rather a document supporting the Southern Gas Interconnection project would be signed.
Šušnjar's statement confirms that there have been sharp tones from the European Union regarding the Southern Gas Interconnection project, which is intended to be an American investment in BiH and Croatia.
US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright has also arrived in Dubrovnik.
