‘Hrvatska žena’ returns 100,000 KM received while Borjana Krišto’s daughter-in-law was head of the Association

The Association Hrvatska žena Livno, specifically its new president Ilijana Dronjić, will soon return 100,000 KM to the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, which they received for the project ‘Sanitation and reconstruction for the preservation of cultural heritage’.

Dnevni list writes that the return of funds is an attempt to restore the reputation of Hrvatska žena Livno after the scandal involving the former president of the Association and HDZ representative Tihana Krželj, who is also the daughter-in-law of Borjana Krišto, as well as the Livno parish priest fra Vinko Sičaja, NAP reports.

According to Dnevni list’s sources from the spokesperson of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, Zorica Rulj, an official request has been sent from this Association to the Ministry stating their intention to return the money.

– Following that request, we sent instructions on how to return the money and we have not yet received the payment slip, but given the aforementioned request, we expect it soon. The money will be paid into the institutions’ account, as required by the necessary procedure – Rulj confirmed.

The return of the money will conclude the affair that significantly shook BiH when this newspaper revealed that substantial funds from the Council of Ministers of BiH in the area of cultural projects were paid to the Association ‘Hrvatska žena’, applied for by Tihana Krželj, then president of the Association and HDZ BiH representative in the Assembly of the Livno Canton, and also the daughter-in-law of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and Deputy President of HDZ BiH, Borjana Krišto.
