The Commission for Deciding on Conflicts of Interest has decided to initiate proceedings in the case of the First Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Karamarko to determine if he is in a conflict of interest due to the business relationship between his wife Ana and his friend Josip Petrović, advisor to the Hungarian oil company MOL, writes Index.hr.
- The Commission unanimously made a decision - proceedings are being initiated to determine if Karamarko is in a conflict of interest due to the business relationship between Drimia and Peritus Savjetovanje, which does business with MOL. It will be investigated whether Karamarko committed a violation by failing to explain the circumstances of the cooperation between Drimia and Peritus - the Commission briefly stated.
The Commission will examine whether Karamarko participated in any decision-making related to the arbitration between Croatia and MOL, whether this could lead him into a conflict of interest in the future, and whether he failed to declare this business relationship.
Two arbitration proceedings are underway between Croatia and the Hungarian MOL regarding management rights in INA.
On the other hand, not a single judicial institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina has reacted after it was revealed that a company co-owned by the son of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik received a loan of three million KM from the Investment-Development Bank of Republika Srpska, and in record time.
- That company has paid 125,000 KM in interest from July until today. They have planted 160,000 apple saplings and built a cold storage facility of 2,000 tons for fruit cooling. I am proud of my son and the business he is in. It's better than him being some bum or drug addict here in Banja Luka - Dodik commented to journalists at the time, after which the whole case was forgotten, writes NAP.
