Will Marjanović, Lemezan, and Hodžić cost the Trojka dearly: Are they seeking institutions and companies at the federal level too?

The Trojka parties, People and Justice, SDP BiH, and Our Party, are entering a very dangerous game of reconstructing the KS Government, and the support of three independent MPs with big appetites could cost them the results in the next elections, if they even get to experience them as the Trojka.

These parties entered power vertically and, in coalition with Dragan Čović and secessionist Milorad Dodik, are losing too much energy and their own reputation due to concessions they are making and their absolute inadequacy in dealing with political wolves like the leaders of HDZ and SNSD.

It is known that the head of NiP, Elmedin Konaković, has not mentioned Sarajevo Canton or the KS Government since he became a state minister. He only made an exception now to save "soldier Srđan Mandić", the mayor of Centar municipality. And what his negotiators from NiP are arranging with the independent MPs Damir Marjanović, Redžo Lemezan, and Admel Hodžić to oust the Party for BiH, whose ministers and most MPs have shown stability and commitment to principles as much as possible in a diverse coalition with the Trojka, will backfire on him.

The appointment of a new acting director of Sarajevogas, proposed by Redžo Lemezan, Haseta Tirića, is the beginning of a new political deal.

Although we have been trying to get information about the meetings the Trojka is having with these three MPs for days, the head of the NiP KO of Sarajevo Canton and the President of the KS Assembly, Elvedin Okerić, is not responding to our calls.

According to unofficial information obtained by Patria, these three MPs have presented megalomaniacal demands to the Trojka regarding the distribution of ministries and companies. This list also includes companies for whose appointments the FBiH Government is responsible, where even the For New Generations party, and especially Lemezan and Hodžić, have no influence when it comes to the parliamentary majority.

Thus, Lemezan requested the position of director of Sarajevogas, director of Pharmacy Sarajevo, as well as most members of the Supervisory Board, and the Therapeutic Community Campus. And Tirić, who is now the director of Sarajevogas, was previously the director of the Therapeutic Community Campus. Lemezan is also interested in the KS Civil Protection or the Communal Police, which has not yet been formed. He is not shying away from taking over the Federal Employment Bureau. Lemezan apparently also has ready candidates for the defense industry, so he is interested in Pretis, where he would choose the management together with Damir Marjanović.

This former member of Our Party also requested a member of the Supervisory Board of Sarajevo International Airport.

Marjanović's list of demands includes the KS Employment Service and the KS Construction Institute. As a geneticist, Marjanović also understands cultural institutions, so he is seeking the Chamber Theatre and the Youth Theatre. He also expressed a desire for an institution at the federal level, namely the FBiH Institute of Statistics. As for the KS Government, he could propose two ministers, and Admela Hodžić has a candidate ready for the position of Minister of the MUP KS or Economy. She is also interested in some institutions at the FBiH level.

What remains a legitimate question, as these demands from the three independent MPs cannot be understood otherwise, is how truly "independent" these three MPs are, or if these wish lists were crafted in the minds of some dissatisfied individuals within their own parties within the Trojka.

We could not verify this information, nor would anyone confirm it at this moment due to the amendments to the Criminal Code of FBiH and BiH imposed by the High Representative Christian Schmidt, which would finally allow for the sanctioning of political trading.
