Urgent transport of a patient from Podgorica to KCUS

A helicopter for urgent medical evacuation of the Armed Forces of BiH (MEDEVAC) in the early morning hours, at the request of the management of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, performed an urgent transport of a severely injured BiH citizen from Podgorica to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), reports the Patria agency.

The urgent medical evacuation was carried out in accordance with the prescribed shortened procedures for the mentioned cases, after obtaining the necessary consent for the flight of the BiH Armed Forces helicopter outside the borders of BiH, which was secured in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH. The Armed Forces of BiH completed the mentioned task in a timely and successful manner, and the aircraft returned to its home unit on the same day at 11:00 AM.

The Armed Forces of BiH will continue to be on constant standby within their available capacities and resources to provide assistance to civil authorities in BiH upon request and in emergency situations, thereby making their full contribution to the execution of this legally prescribed task.
