Thousands of citizens in protest march against the government in Serbia

BELGRADE, (Patria) - The thirteenth protest "One of Five Million" against the current government led by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is being held in Belgrade. The protest began on the Plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy, and Marija Lukić and Marinika Tepić addressed the citizens. Marija Lukić is the former secretary of the president of the municipality of Brus, Milutin Jeličić Jutka, whom she and several other women accused of sexual harassment. Lukić said that her struggle is not political, but a struggle for dignity, honor and justice.

MP Marinika Tepić told the President of the State, Aleksandar Vučić, that she will not stop until they defeat him and free the country from his rule.

After the speeches, thousands of those gathered set off on a protest march through the central city streets. The gathered citizens are moving along Uzun Mirkova, Pariska Street, Kneza Sime Markovića, Pop Lukina, Brankova, the Terazije tunnel which has been coated with tar to prevent the sticking of posters against the government, Svetogorska, Takovska, to Nikola Pašić Square.

Those gathered hold banners reading "We are with the people, not with former and current thieves", "For freedom", "Wake up", "Rise up Serbia", "Respect the law", "Stop banking terror", "Workers of department stores are with you", among others.

Protest marches are being held in several Serbian cities.
