Thousands of citizens at protests in Belgrade: Gazela bridge blocked, banner reads 'Serbia Against Violence'

(Patria) - Today, the protest "Serbia Against Violence" is being held, with citizens marching peacefully from the Serbian Parliament building, through Kneza Miloša Street to the Gazela bridge, which will then be blocked for traffic for two hours.

Citizens in the protest march are chanting "Vučić, go away"! The length of the column is shown by the fact that a large number of people have not yet reached Gazela. Approaching the bridge, citizens silently carried a banner "Serbia Against Violence". Thousands of people are on the Gazela bridge, and the column is still extending. The public lighting on the bridge is not working, and thousands of those gathered have turned on and raised their mobile phones to illuminate the bridge. Citizens who have blocked Gazela are chanting: "Resignations, resignations"!

We remind you that the first protest "Serbia Against Violence", held on Monday, May 8, gathered about 50,000 people. The organizers of the protest thanked the police for behaving according to the law during that gathering and called on police officers to behave in the same way during today's protest.
