Thousands of protesters demand resignation of Aleksandar Vučić: You are surrounded, you are finished

BELGRADE, (Patria) - Boško Obradović, leader of the Dveri movement, called on the gathered protesters not to leave the area around the Presidency of Serbia building and to block three exits. He called on those gathered to surround the building and form a cordon. Strong police forces are securing the Presidency building where President Aleksandar Vučić is located. 

A truck with loudspeakers was blocked a little further from the Presidency building, which led to a scuffle with the police, who used tear gas and beat the gathered people. The truck with loudspeakers is now in front of the Presidency. The nearby streets around the Presidency of Serbia are full of citizens who came out to protest. 

"There is no surrender and no retreat. We demand the resignation of the biggest thief, criminal, traitor. Block the entire perimeter and form a cordon around the Presidency," Obradović said in his address to thousands of protesters. 

Obradović stated that the demand remains to allow tonight's guest appearance on the RTS program in Dnevnik dva. A new gathering is planned in front of the RTS building. 

"We did not come to destroy anything, this is our Presidency. We call on the police to throw down their helmets and batons so that we can free Serbia from dictatorship."

Vuk Jeremić, president of the People's Party, addressed the crowd from the truck, which was in the immediate vicinity of the Presidency.

"Hello free Belgrade, hello free Serbia. No one here will forget this day, I promise you. He thought the people wouldn't come, he was wrong."

Obradović thanked the protesters for coming. 

"We are not dispersing from here, we are keeping the exits blocked. Let Aleksandar Vučić come out and face his people. Seven years of dictatorship is enough. We call on all of Belgrade to join us here. Vučić can choose to be a man and resign, or he will be a rat and leave through the rat channels."
