SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A total of 31 samples were tested at SKB Mostar yesterday, of which five people in HNK tested positive for coronavirus.
There were three positives in Konjic, two in Mostar, and one new case in Čitluk, announced Jurica Arapović, a member of the HNK Crisis Staff and an infectologist at SKB Mostar, at today's press conference.
He added that 1,401 home isolation orders have been issued so far, of which 115 were issued yesterday.
“SKB Mostar is currently treating eight patients with coronavirus. A triage tent has been set up in front of the hospital for the third degree of readiness, should the need for coronavirus patients increase,” said Arapović.
HNK Prime Minister Nevenko Herceg thanked healthcare workers, police officers, the media…
He then announced that we can expect even stricter measures in the coming period.
“Do not blame us if we make a mistake, because none of us were prepared for this.” Today, a meeting was held with all crisis staffs in the Canton, city and municipal authorities. The need for further coordination and closer cooperation at all levels was emphasized,” said Herceg.
One of the agreed conclusions is the adherence to strict rules, respect for isolation and self-isolation, and the curfew.
“Possible isolation facilities were also discussed, and it was agreed that these facilities would be under the supervision of health centers. Stricter restrictions on inter-regional, inter-cantonal traffic are being sought as a step towards quarantine. Our canton is the center of the entire region through which main roads pass. We are asking the state for stricter rules at the border with Croatia. They expect a fairer distribution of international aid,” said Herceg.
We remind you that Herceg heads the HNK Government, which decided to help Zagreb, and is now seeking a fair distribution of aid.
When asked why more was given to Zagreb than Konjic, Herceg said: “Unfortunately, in the midst of the pandemic, an earthquake occurred in Zagreb, and we reacted and showed compassion for our people and Zagreb.”
Although appeals are being made from Konjic for many things, Herceg says that “health institutions were financially prepared.”
He added that they will procure the necessary equipment with UNDP and that they have paid them one million KM.
When asked about the meeting of representatives of the three cantons in Široki Brijeg, Herceg said that in addition to vertical coordination, there must be coordination with the two neighboring cantons.
“We must monitor road communications and communications through this area as strictly as possible,” Herceg replied.
We remind you that a meeting of representatives of HNK, ZHK and Canton 10 was announced for Thursday in Široki Brijeg.
