HDZ and MOST forming Croatian Government: Plenković and Petrov enthusiastic, announcing successful future cooperation

A marathon meeting of negotiation teams from MOST and HDZ on forming the new Croatian Government was held at HDZ premises in Zagreb. The meeting ended last night after more than 4 and a half hours of negotiations, reports the Patria News Agency.

HDZ agreed to MOST's seven conditions and they will form the Government together. Andrej Plenković's negotiation team included Ivana Maletić, Davor Ivo Stier, Gordan Jandroković, Davor Božinović, Goran Marić, and Zdravko Marić. The MOST negotiation team, led by Božo Petrov, included Ivan Kovačić and Miroslav Šimić.

After the meeting, Plenković and Petrov addressed reporters.

-We want to use the time allowed by the constitution for a comprehensive program. We will avoid last year's scenario. The next meeting is on Monday here at 4 PM, said Plenković.

-The atmosphere was constructive. We discussed guarantees. We agree that this is a pledge for future cooperation, goals for the next four years need to be set. Of course, this is a small beginning for future cooperation. We completely agree on the goals, we are meeting again next week. We have positive impressions. I would be glad if it continues like this, trust needs to be built. I hope it will continue like this, currently I don't have the impression that something is not right, stated Petrov.
