Hahn commented on the Croatian President's statements: The answer to radicalism is new jobs

When asked how he commented on the statement of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović that Islam in BiH is becoming increasingly radical, the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn said that new jobs and a better future are the only real answer to radicalization.

- The issue of radicalism is a much broader issue. I think it is an issue that is strongly linked to the prospects we offer young people - Hahn said in Sarajevo.

- I would call on the domestic authorities in BiH and Croatia to work on creating jobs, to create a future, to ensure an environment that will provide prospects. That is the only real answer that can be offered to radicalization. When you offer that, then radicalization can also be reduced - Hahn conveyed.

- This is a cross-border phenomenon, and for that reason, we need a response and reaction of the same kind - Hahn added, writes Patria.
