SARAJEVO, (Patria) - U.S. Ambassador to Germany and Special Envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump for Serbia and Kosovo Richard Grenell will remain in both positions, although he has been appointed to the position of acting director of U.S. national intelligence services, his cabinet confirmed to Voice of America, as reported by Beta.
"We can confirm that Ambassador Grenell will serve simultaneously as ambassador to Germany, special envoy of the U.S. President for the Serbia-Kosovo peace negotiations, and acting director of national intelligence services," Dick Custin, Grenell's spokesman, told Voice of America.
Custin added that Grenell will serve as acting director of national intelligence services only temporarily.
"I emphasize that Ambassador Grenell responded to President Trump's request to serve as acting director of national intelligence services for a limited time. The White House will soon announce its nomination for this position. With that in mind, Grenell will remain in his positions as U.S. Ambassador to Germany and Special Envoy for Serbia and Kosovo and is 100 percent committed to them," Custin stated for Voice of America.
