SILENT TREATMENT FROM MONTENEGRIN OFFICIALS: Still no response regarding Šešelj's misogynistic and primitive work!

Yesterday, a photo began circulating on social networks with the title of a new shameful work by the leader of the Serbian Radical Party, Vojislav Šešelj, which in the most miserable, vulgar, and primitive way insults the former Member of Parliament of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro and professor at the Faculty of Law, Draginja Vuksanović Stanković.

We will use the word 'work' because any other name used in the text about Šešelj's writings would be an insult to writers whose works truly deserve to be called books.

This scandalous writing represents another attempt to humiliate not only Draginja Vuksanović Stanković but also all brave Montenegrin women, the pillars of defense of state sovereignty and integrity, and its anti-fascist, civic, and secular character, who do not accept revisionist theories about their own origin and identity.

We will not quote the title of the work for ethical and professional reasons.

Let us remind you, this is not the first time Šešelj has directed brutal and vile insults at Ms. Vuksanović Stanković, appearing on television programs with national frequency in Serbia, whose broadcasts can also be followed in Montenegro via cable operators.

Numerous Reactions

Immediately after the scandalous title of the work by the unfulfilled politician, eternally hungry for power, was published on social networks, numerous reactions followed, first from representatives of opposition parties, after which several ministers in the newly formed government of Milojko Spajić also made statements.

- The extent of Šešelj's evil, which is being imported into our country through the current value system from a neighboring country, is evidenced by the shameful publication that the Chetnik duke Vojislav Šešelj dedicated to the Montenegrin heroine Draginja Vuksanović Stanković - states the announcement of the Democratic Party of Socialists.

As they add, Draginja Vuksanović Stanković does not bother this coward.

- He is bothered by the truth, that she is both the shield and the sword of an independent, civic, and European Montenegro, one that these failed dreamers of a Serbian world, these deniers of everything else and different that opposes their criminal ideologies, will never be able to break or shatter - they stated.

The former president of the Montenegrin parliament, Danijela Đurović, also reacted.

- Horrified by the title of Šešelj's new work, a picture of misogyny and primitivism, I am even more disappointed in the institutions that are powerless and captured to condemn and sanction this and similar acts - Đurović announced.

- Šešelj does not miss an opportunity to show why he is banned from entering Montenegro - stated the head of the media team of the Social Democratic Party, Mirko Stanić.

The president of the Social Democrats, Damir Šehović, assessed that Šešelj's shameful work is a great disgrace.

However, he adds, what is more worrying than this worthless scribble is the loud silence of those who are supposed to functionally represent Montenegro.

The Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property, Janko Odović, most sharply condemned Šešelj's work.

- Chojstvo means protecting others from oneself. It's a shame that a political marginal figure has never learned this lesson - Odović said.

A sharp condemnation was also issued by the Minister of European Affairs, Maida Gorčević.

- As a minister in the 44th Government and as a woman, I most sharply condemn the misogynistic work of Vojislav Šešelj created with the intention of harming the reputation of Ms. Vuksanović Stanković. It is clear that the culture of dialogue has never been characteristic of the author of this sexist attack, but this only obliges us further not to relativize such phenomena, but to label them as socially unacceptable - Gorčević wrote on social network X.

The Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, stated that the culture of dialogue must be an imperative in public action, regardless of all ideological, political, and other differences.

The Minister of Culture and Media, Tamara Vujović, most sharply condemned Šešelj's work, while the Vice-President of the Parliament, Zdenka Popović, stated that shameful attacks and expressed misogyny confirm that Šešelj is a marginal figure who does not deserve to have his name mentioned.

Loud Silence of Top State Officials

Throughout yesterday, none of the three key figures in the country made a statement regarding the scandalous work, which is an insult to all citizens of Montenegrin nationality, whom they, quite coincidentally, formally represent.

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, President Jakov Milatović, and Speaker of the Parliament Andrija Mandić were apparently resting on Sunday, or perhaps devising ways to relativize this shameful and outrageous act the very next day.

Some are perhaps waiting for orders from Belgrade, while others are waiting for the actual controllers of key state functions to forward those same orders to them. Šešelj's work, unfortunately, is not surprising.

Anyone who felt offended in any way by this primitive man and hater of everything non-Serbian was the subject of almost identical works, and most often, as weaklings with unfulfilled ambitions cowardly do, he attacked women.

Thus, he dedicated criminal pamphlets to the president of the Serbian Helsinki Committee, Sonja Biserko, activist Nataša Kandić, and everyone who had the courage to raise their voice and protest against his Chetnik ethno-nationalist intentions from the nineties.

Recently, this was the case with Snežana Čongradin, a journalist for the daily newspaper Danas, one of the few free media in Serbia. Šešelj, namely, was bothered that the journalist had repeatedly called him a war criminal in her columns, thus becoming the target of his worthless writings.

Whether he wants to admit it or not, Vojislav Šešelj is a convicted war criminal, a radical nationalist, the ideologue of the never-fulfilled project of Greater Serbia, who, for the sake of a handful of power, aligned himself with every regime, whoever formed it.

In the nineties, for example, he lost the title of Chetnik duke because he agreed to join the government with Slobodan Milošević, whose way and form of governance he had sharply criticized until then. The conflict between Šešelj and Milošević until then simply resembled a poorly staged play for the public.

And as history repeats itself, the man who was in power by collecting the crumbs left by Milošević, when he needed Šešelj's support due to international pressure, would run in the next elections in a coalition with his political son Aleksandar Vučić, whom he called a traitor in the public space on one hand, while wholeheartedly defending the common idea of creating a once Greater Serbia, and today a Serbian world.

And in that game of cooperation and conflict, Šešelj always remained on the margins - an ordinary loser, used by Milošević in the nineties, and by Vučić today, all to reduce the decline of his own rating, due to the fear of losing support and a final confrontation with the international community. the Dayton Agreement, the issue of Kosovo's independence, or something else - but the background is the same - Šešelj's nationalist rhetoric was supposed to defend
Milošević and Vučić, who are acting in front of the international community, while he, although formally present in the government, parliament, or in some local municipal position, remains at the bottom of the ladder.

One of the ideologues of the blood and soil theory in the Balkans, he remained and will remain hungry for power, and his dark ideas about the persecution or ethnic cleansing of all those who will not sell their origin and national identity, just as Šešelj sold himself for the smallest crumbs of Slobo and Aco.

The time has passed when attempts were made to Serbify Montenegrins through war campaigns, commit genocide against Bosniaks, persecute Croats, Slovenes, Macedonians, Albanians, Vojvodina Hungarians.

Šešelj's speeches and dark ideas about such persecution in this century will remain futile dreams, on the trash heap of history, as will his long, but essentially so insignificant political career.

He will be remembered as the embodiment of Balkan evil.

Šešelj's new work is a key test for the Montenegrin government. Yesterday, a petition was also launched demanding that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Filip Ivanović, send a protest note to Serbia and request a ban on the sale and distribution of the work on the territory of Montenegro.

In democratic countries, even if they are in the process of such maturation, a stable and capable government does not wait longer than 24 hours, but on the same day expresses its readiness to defend citizens from the attacks of resurrected sowers of evil.

The silence of the Chetnik duke Mandić is expected, but if the president and prime minister, despite the reactions of ministers and the youth wings of their own parties, remain silent on the outbursts of Šešeljism, instead of fulfilling the most important constitutional task - protecting the dignity and human rights of all citizens - there will be no doubt.

We will receive official confirmation of the legitimization of the denial of the Montenegrin nation and the most primitive belittling of everything Montenegrin, just as the previous two governments did, especially the one led by Dritan Abazović.

If they bow to Šešelj, just as they bow to his political son, the Serbian world is our certain destination, and instead of Europe and the West, we will move rapidly towards the East. Continued loud silence will mean only one thing - the strategic direction followed by the new majority is dictated by official Belgrade and the Serbian Orthodox Church, and the ambitious deadlines for membership in the European Union will remain a fairy tale without a happy ending. And mere sharp condemnations or customary relativizations, in a mild and veiled tone, will be further proof of the fear of opposing the Serbian world and the re-established partnership of Aleksandar Vučić and his political father, who created and politically launched him, as the greatest threat to regional peace.

However, one thing is certain - neither Draginja nor any Montenegrin woman can be intimidated by Vojislav Šešelj and the propagandistic misogynistic campaigns of obscure portals, because the most primitive insults only affect the weak, and weakness has never been and will not be a characteristic of brave, steadfast Montenegrin women, fighters for peace, freedom, justice, and civil society, who know their place, on the defense of independent Montenegro and a stable region.
