EU officially - a terrorist act was committed in Kosovo

(Patria) - Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti called on the international factor to punish Serbia for the attack in Banjska in which a Kosovo police officer was killed.

At the same time, the spokesperson for the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Peter Stano, said that the European bloc's position is clear that a terrorist attack was committed in Banjska and Zvečan on Sunday.

Stano told a press conference that the EU is waiting for full investigations to be carried out before taking any measures.

"I want to clearly reiterate the EU's position on what happened on Sunday. This was a terrorist attack and it must be investigated, and those responsible must be brought to justice. All those involved, or who can, must cooperate to ensure that this attack is fully investigated and that those who planned, carried out, or are behind it are brought to justice. The EU has reiterated this position several times," said Stano.

Regarding the statements of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who said that the Albanian police "do not have what they are looking for in the north," Stano did not want to comment on them.

When asked by a journalist from the Kosovo newspaper Koha whether there is any agreement according to which Kosovo Albanian police officers are not allowed to enter the north, Stano said that he cannot comment on every statement by leaders in the Balkans.

"We do not comment on every statement, every interpretation of what happened. We have a very serious situation. However, we do not communicate with partners in the region through public channels. If we have something to say, we say it directly to our partners. Everyone has obligations and knows well what the EU gets. When the member states have all the information, then they will decide whether they want to react with any statement, interpretation, or how they will react towards those found guilty of the attack," said Stano.
