Elektro Slovenija donates 100,000 KM to help those affected in BiH

Recent floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region have united many individuals and companies in a common humanitarian mission to help people in the areas affected by unprecedented floods, reports BH news agency Patria (NAP).

One of the first examples of aid was a payment of 100,000 KM, made on Monday, May 19, 2014, by the Slovenian company "Elektro Slovenija" (ELES), whose general director is Aleksander Mervar.

"Elektro Slovenije" paid 40,000 KM each to the accounts of the Red Cross of the Federation of BiH and the Red Cross of Republika Srpska, and 20,000 KM to the Red Cross of Brčko District of BiH as aid for the consequences of the floods.

When we asked the head of the Slovenian ELES, Aleksander Mervar, about the donation, he said that he did not know how that information reached the media, but he confirmed to us that he immediately responded to the appeal for help for the people affected by the floods.

Director Mervar emphasized that he has always had excellent business cooperation with people from Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he has many friendships with people from all over BiH, and that this aid is the least he could do at that moment for the unfortunate people in BiH, reports NAP.
