(Patria) - The center of Karlovac was shaken by an explosion today around 12:40 PM.
Croatian media report that the explosion occurred from "underground" in Pavla Vitezovića Street, after which a fire broke out.
One person suffered burns to the upper part of their body and was transferred to Karlovac General Hospital.
Firefighters from the Karlovac Public Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene.
The cause of the explosion, which occurred in an area where work is being carried out, is still unknown.
Radio Mrežnica unofficially learns that workers were carrying out work in that area, and according to unconfirmed information, a gas cylinder they were handling exploded.
