
(Patria) - A meteor exploded thirty kilometers above Slovenia.
Smoke was visible over Učka, while the meteor's fall was seen from Zagreb and heard like thunder.
"Parameters need to be extracted from seismographs and a reconstruction made. The azimuth and altitude are important. It's a larger amount of material, most likely a superbolide, which happens once every few years. The last similar case was near Skrad, when the meteor weighed 24 kg," said Professor Korado Korlević.
