Ef. Dudić called for unity of Muslims in Serbia

The President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia, Mevlud ef. Dudić, called on members of the Islamic Community in Serbia and the ulema to finally put an end to divisions and gather around one, unified and traditional Islamic Community in order to preserve religious, ethical, cultural and all other values, it was announced, writes NAP.

At the session of the Supreme Assembly of the Islamic Community of Serbia held on Sunday in Novi Pazar, the entire leadership of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Serbia was dismissed after their mandates expired. This has sparked certain debates within the Islamic Community of Serbia itself. For some, the dismissal was carried out irregularly, as the Assembly allegedly lacked a quorum.

Ef. Dudić reminds that the past years have shown that the endangerment of the unity of the Islamic Community is the main source of destruction among Muslims and that every step of division causes new divisions.

- It is time to learn lessons from all the events of the past decade and return to organizational and value unity - said Mufti Dudić.

The former Belgrade Mufti, Muhamed Jusufspahić, told Beta that instead of the dismissed officials, a trusteeship, i.e., a new administration, has been appointed, "which should organize legal elections that were obstructed by those who were in a technical mandate".
