Edi Rama on a regional tour: Farewell to Open Balkan?

(Patria) - Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama begins a two-day Balkan tour on Thursday during which he will discuss the Kosovo crisis, the Open Balkan initiative, and the Berlin process, Albanian media reported.

Rama first goes to Skopje on Thursday, where he will meet with his Macedonian counterpart Dimitar Kovačevski, and then goes to Pristina, where a meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti awaits him.

On Friday, Rama arrives in Belgrade, where he is expected to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. After that, Rama goes to Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina to discuss with the prime ministers of these two countries the "importance of stability in the region, threatened by recent tensions between Serbia and Kosovo," Albanian media reported.

Rama said in recent days that Open Balkan "has completed its mission and that now six countries will continue their efforts under one umbrella that brings them all together: the European Union, through the Berlin process, which will have its next meeting in October."
