In Sarajevo today, under Dragan Čović's flag, another rerun of the public performance will be held, in which two political cats chase three Sarajevo political mice until they fulfill all their wishes.
This rerun of the performance will be all the more dangerous because it is a political crisis for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the coordinated activities of Čović and Milorad Dodik could easily result in the mice, with their incompetence and devotion to their seats, delivering everything necessary for the creation of a confederation as a prerequisite for the final disintegration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
All this comes after a series of political performances through which Dodik and Čović managed to raise tensions to a level where the international community will again be more concerned with preventing war than with preserving the internationally recognized state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. And that is precisely the goal of the well-coordinated destroyers of that state, who succeed in imposing a discourse in which they acknowledge what suits them, and with the help of the international community, reject everything that does not suit them.
Thus, Dodik does not suit Christian Schmidt, the High Representative in BiH, who, in rare moments of awareness, does something to stop the destructive march of politics in the RS against the constitutional and legal order of BiH. The question is, if Dodik does not recognize Schmidt and, with a crowd of like-minded people and advisors, disputes his mandate, does he then recognize Valentin Inzko as High Representative and call for his return.
No, because Inzko also did not suit Dodik, especially due to the amendments to the Criminal Code and the prohibition of genocide denial. But Dodik plays such a game in which international experts appear as second-rate naive individuals. Because Dodik does not recognize anyone who acts as a barrier to his interests. Dodik defends Dayton, disputes Dayton categories, Dodik attacks Guterres and the UN, which are not part of Dayton, consciously drawing them into the quagmire of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian crisis, and since their positions do not suit him, he does not recognize them. And so, he sometimes recognizes, sometimes not, all depending on the game he is playing and the interests he wants to achieve in that game.
That was the reason why Željka Cvijanović, on Dodik's orders, addressed Antonio Guterres, because by dragging the UN Secretary-General into our internal problem, he raises the stakes to a higher level.
At the same time, Dodik has serious support in the wise Čović, for whom anti-state activities and blockades are a primer he has long since learned. Seemingly, Čović is not directly supporting Dodik's activities. However, everything he has done since Dodik has been creating crises in Bosnia and Herzegovina has played into Dodik's hands. And few have the right to doubt that Čović is not actually Dodik's strongest force in secessionist attacks on the state.
In fact, only those who should be the defense against the onslaught of Dodik and Čović have not figured out the game. But that no longer surprises anyone. Primarily, the three political mice who run onto the field for the separatist cats were not elected by the people who sacrificed their best sons and daughters for this country. Not even by the part of the people who love this country and live outside it.
The three political mice were chosen by the American Ambassador Michael Murphy, who has long since moved from the position of his country's representative to that of a viceroy, with the aim of resolving Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the model his compatriots wanted to resolve it in the early nineties. And when a viceroy with suspicious intentions chooses pro-state forces, and is joined in this by the European viceroy loyal to the HDZ, Johann Sattler, along with the traditionally loyal British, the possibility of dividing the country becomes all the more visible.
Given that the troika of political mice was created not to contradict the plans of Dodik and Čović, it is clear that the responsibility for protecting the state lies with political subjects who have not agreed to be mice that would betray their homeland for a piece of power.
Those political structures that have remained outside the patronage of the international bloc for the handover of the state, or its introduction into the system of a confederation, must find answers that will prevent the realization of the described plans.
Part of that plan must be urgent political solutions submitted to parliamentary procedures at the state level, which will clearly draw a line between pro-state actors and those who diligently work for separatist forces.
Another part of the plan must be the mobilization of the masses, who, just like in 1992, will come before the State Parliament and clearly state that this is the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which must survive for the sake of the destinies of all of us who love it and are ready to defend it, whether we are called Bosniaks, Serbs, Croats, or Bosnians and Herzegovinians.
Because only the masses, in mass peaceful gatherings, can stop the coalition created for the final disintegration of the state. And not the kind of masses we saw in the attempt to stop Schmidt, but much larger gatherings with clearly defined goals and readiness to block the State Parliament.
The coordination of the current opposition and the people concerned about the direction in which Bosnia and Herzegovina is heading can prevent traitors from carrying out their assigned mission and separatists from realizing the tasks of Belgrade and Zagreb.
Relying on those whom Dodik does not recognize and who have already proven on several occasions that they are not ready to enter the political ring with him is like hoping that this Dodik will be opposed by a coalition of political mice from Sarajevo.
The result will be the same. Therefore, we, whose fathers and mothers stopped their idols and predecessors, must stop Dodik and Čović. Because our destiny is inseparable from the destiny of the state. So let's think and you think!
