Dunović visited IFIMES: We will do everything to create a more favorable investment environment in FBiH

The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milan Dunović visited the International Institute for Middle Eastern and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) in Ljubljana, where he met with the Institute's Directors Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The directors of IFIMES presented the institute's activities in the Balkan and Middle East regions to Dunović, with a special emphasis on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

IFIMES states that some international organizations have withdrawn from Bosnia and Herzegovina, but during that time, the International Institute IFIMES has strengthened its presence in BiH. They state that this is particularly important due to the new approach that the EU has taken towards BiH.

- First and foremost, it is necessary to work quickly on the economic renewal and recovery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and newly elected officials at all levels of government must prioritize their activities in this direction – state the Institute, adding that IFIMES will continue to support all political forces and projects that are aimed at ensuring long-term stability and reconciliation, and creating conditions for a better life for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Vice President of the FBiH expressed the readiness of the new political structures to work on ensuring progress for all citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina and accelerating BiH's path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.

- The process of joining the EU is particularly important because it mobilizes most political forces in the country towards achieving this goal – said Dunović. He emphasized the special importance of foreign investments and said that the new authorities, at least as far as the Federation of BiH is concerned, will make maximum efforts to create a more favorable environment for investment and employment.

- Ensuring lasting peace and long-term stability is a permanent task for all political forces, as is creating an environment for inter-ethnic reconciliation and coexistence within Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the region – said Dunović.

In honor of the visit of Vice President Dunović to IFIMES and Ljubljana, a formal dinner was organized, attended by the leadership of the Institute as well as representatives of Slovenian public and business life, writes NAP.
