Đukanović: It is time for Montenegro to get a government that will not bow its head to anyone

(Patria) - With the full conviction that the 2016 coup d'état was intended to result in my liquidation, I decided to sit down and talk with you.

This was stated by the current President of Montenegro and candidate of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) for the upcoming elections, Milo Đukanović, during a debate with the candidate of the Democratic Front (DF), Andrija Mandić.

During the discussion, Đukanović assessed that it is time for elections and "to measure our legitimacy".

- And for Montenegro to get a responsible Government that will not bow its head to anyone - he stated, adding that he "did not want to bow his head to anyone".

- Because it is not my spine, but the spine of Montenegro while I am at its head - he emphasized.

Mandić, among other things, said that Serbia is the only country in Europe that has not imposed sanctions on Russia.

- And its president (Aleksandar Vučić) does not seem to me like a man who takes orders from outside, unlike what we see in Montenegro - Mandić added.

Đukanović added to this that Vučić takes orders from Russia.

He also pointed out that at one point he looked at the dossier of clans in Montenegro, and that in 90 percent of cases they had fake travel documents from Serbia.

- It was delivered to me so I could see what kind of fake travel documents these people relied on. Interesting - both clans, in 90 percent of cases, had fake documents from the state of Serbia - said Đukanović.
