(Patria) - The leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and its candidate for the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, stated that the country is in such a state that it will no longer be able to get a loan.
If the country continues to manage public finances as in the past period, as Đukanović said during his guest appearance on TV E, Montenegro faces the Greek scenario.
- This country is in such a state that it will no longer be able to get a loan - added Đukanović.
In the past two years, he believes, everything has been shut down or investors have been driven away, and therefore there is no real money, reports Portal Analitika.
- And then you logically turn to taking out loans. And then the banks see that they have a drunk client - points out Đukanović.
The announced profit tax rate of 33 percent, he adds, will cause investors to flee.
- This is absolutely irresponsible management of the economy that leads to the collapse of the economic foundations of the state. And where there are no economic foundations, the state disappears - he warned.
The past period, he adds, has shown how naive it was to believe that every change is a change for the better.
He also spoke about the murdered former Prime Minister of Serbia, Zoran Đinđić.
- He was not only my partner, but also my friend. He had a great capacity, which was important not only for democratic Serbia but also for the region. The tragic end of Zoran Đinđić is the cause of the current situation in Serbia - concluded Đukanović.
