Doris Pack: Vučić should tell his friend Dodik that he has gone too far

Doris Pack, former member of the German Christian Democratic Union in the European Parliament, stated that Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić must answer the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik regarding the referendum, but she does not expect him to do so, reports the Patria News Agency.

"In my opinion, Vučić must do it. He must point out to Milorad Dodik that the referendum is not in the spirit of the Dayton Agreement, that its announcement would actually undermine that agreement," Pack told Radio Free Europe.

"He must let him know that holding such a referendum would damage good neighborly relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and that it would in no way work for peace in BiH," Pack emphasized.

Pack expects Vučić to "tell his friend Dodik that he has gone too far," but added that she does not expect Vučić to influence Dodik not to hold the referendum because too much of the past is contained in that issue.

I would like Vučić to do it, I can even imagine that he will try, but I really don't know if he will do it, I cannot be a prophet, she said.
