Dodik, Cvijanović in Niš: Vučić says 'no foreigner will ever decide in Serbia'

(Patria) - Serbia and the BiH entity of Republika Srpska are celebrating a joint holiday today - the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom, and National Flag, and the central event is being held in Niš, in the "Čair" sports hall. The central event with a cultural and artistic program is attended by the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, ministers in the Government of Serbia, the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, Prime Minister of Srpska Radovan Višković, as well as numerous other representatives.

Patriarch Porfirije addressed the attendees and said that they are "raising the tricolor for the salvation of our people, but also all peoples".

"Our unity must be in the sign of Christ, the cross. Even when there was no Serbian state, there was unity of our people, but thank God today there is the Republic of Serbia and there is Republika Srpska," said the patriarch.

In his address, Dodik said that he belongs to the Serbian people and not to "Bosnian Serbs", and that they always want to break our national unity, to admit and give everything we have to please someone, and that cannot be done.

Dodik emphasized that "Germans do not allow Serbs in these areas to achieve what they are celebrating today - Serbian unity, freedom, and the national flag".

"Four years ago, a decision was made to celebrate this day because we were not celebrating the day of the breakthrough of the Thessaloniki Front. That was the idea of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, and he has a statesmanlike view of things. Serbs must be united around their institutions, around Vučić. I testify here that Vučić has done everything to put Serbia in the right place. We want to live in peace with others," said Dodik.

Vučić said that no one has the right to take away the right to call themselves Serbs.

"Do not expect justice, for a long time there will be none for us Serbs. When they accuse us of creating Greater Serbia, and everyone lies, they remain silent. It has been a year and a half since the start of the war in Ukraine, they said we would go to war. Who did we go to war with? We will always be a disruptive factor for many in the world. We celebrate freedom, to guard our own sky, to protect our own people, no foreigner will ever decide in Serbia. The time when we fulfilled foreign orders is over," said Vučić.
