Dodik: Bosnia impossible state, RS and Serbia should be one

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - An academy titled "Praise to the Serbian people" is being held in Banja Luka this evening to mark the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, jointly celebrated by the RS and Serbia.

Milorad Dodik, a member of the BiH Presidency, in his address to those present, repeated for the umpteenth time that BiH is an "impossible state" and that the RS and Serbia should be one. He stressed that there are no Bosnian Serbs and that all Serbs belong to the same people. 

"The key word for the Serbian people throughout history is freedom. We understood that freedom as freedom for others, not just for ourselves. I think this day concentrates what is the Serbian national and state interest. Our unity is needed today as well. We are a unique Serbian people in these areas," said Dodik, adding that for some there are possibilities of secession but that this cannot apply to the RS.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, in a video address, said that "our response must be the unity of Serbs, using smart means for the freedom of our people."

"This is not just a state holiday but an all-Serbian holiday. Next year it will be a national holiday. I want to thank our people in the RS and everywhere in the world for whom freedom is the greatest commitment. I congratulate all Serbs around the world on the holiday," said Vučić.
