Dodik wants to unite Serbia, Republika Srpska, and Montenegro

(Patria) - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik believes that Serbs should form a unified state in this century, comprising Serbia, Republika Srpska, and Montenegro.

Dodik assessed that a major pan-Serbian assembly should be convened, attended by Vučić, the Serbian Patriarch, and influential members of the diaspora, "from which it will be announced that this is a unified Serbian people who want to be in a unified state".

He stated that the unified state should be formed through democratic means and political measures, not war, and left for future generations.

- We are living in a time when the world configuration will have to change in a few years or decades.

Serbs must not be caught off guard; we should state now that in this century, we want a unified state comprising Serbia, Republika Srpska, if there is such a democratic decision, and Montenegro - Dodik told Sputnik.

He added that Serbs have no intention of going to war, but they also have no intention of allowing anyone to trample on them.

He emphasizes that this is why he supports the power that Serbia has built recently - military, political, economic, financial, stating that "no one can deny that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has opened up Serbia, placed it in a different position than it was 10-15 years ago".

Dodik notes that "Republika Srpska, by defending its property, is defending the foundations of its existence", and sends a message that the constitutional order must be respected.

When asked where the line is when it will be said 'enough, now we are going for the independence of Republika Srpska', Dodik assessed that Republika Srpska is approaching that line.

According to him, Westerners want to personalize everything and separate him from Republika Srpska because they "dislike the synergy between his political leadership and what Republika Srpska is".

When asked if he thinks Serbia will "succeed in defending Kosovo" in the times to come, Dodik replied that Serbian national and state policy must remain dedicated to this issue.

- Vučić has brought this issue back to the international stage through negotiation processes and through the process of withdrawing recognition of Kosovo by a significant number of countries - Dodik added.

He believes that the only solution is "Republika Srpska, Serbia, and Serbian spaces, Kosovo, and the return of Montenegro to the Serbian national being, because it undoubtedly belongs there".

- This is something that must be respected as a strong Serbian national interest in these regions, not to be ignored to the extent of being taken away and for Serbs to be blamed for not accepting their own execution - Dodik emphasized.

He also assesses that these are double standards, "when the West pushes Kosovo as an independent state and undermines Serbia's territorial integrity, while not accepting Republika Srpska to be put in the same status".

- These are their arrogant anti-Serbian national policies: expelling Serbs from Croatia, they cannot even be a national minority in Slovenia, in the Federation, only a few old residents live miserably.

Republika Srpska is an anomaly, they don't even allow a census in Montenegro; in North Macedonia, they are destroying our church. I won't even mention Kosovo.

You don't have a single example where the West has been realistic towards the Serbian national status. Never, nowhere - Dodik said, adding that the world is in disarray, while Republika Srpska is stable.
