Nine people injured in hand grenade explosion at cattle market in Prizren

(Patria) - Nine people were injured in a hand grenade explosion at the cattle market in the city of Prizren in southern Kosovo.

This news was confirmed to Radio Free Europe by the spokesperson for information of the Regional Police Directorate Prizren, Vesel Gaši.

According to him, three suspects for the attack have been identified and a search for them is underway.

"Around 4:50 AM, the police received information about an injury incident at the cattle market in Prizren.

According to initial information, it is suspected that nine people sustained injuries from the hand grenade explosion," Gaši said.

The reasons for the incident are not yet known.

The injured persons were transferred to the Emergency Center of the Regional Hospital in Prizren, where they received medical assistance.

The regional investigation unit of Prizren also arrived at the scene of the incident to collect evidence for the case.
