Davutoğlu requests meeting in Belgrade, Bosnia and Herzegovina on agenda

Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoğlu has sent an urgent request for a meeting to Belgrade, and Bosnia and Herzegovina would be on the agenda of the talks, among other things, the BH News Agency Patria (NAP) has learned.

Relations between Serbia and Turkey have cooled after last year's statement by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding Kosovo, but for Davutoğlu, according to diplomatic sources, this was not a problem, and he requested an urgent meeting. There has been no response from Belgrade yet, given the heated campaign for early elections in Serbia. The newspaper Todays Zaman, close to the ruling Turkish AKP party, also writes about this information.

- Turkey wants to unblock relations with Serbia, which have been on cold terms since the trilateral meeting of Turkey-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Serbia was also cancelled.
