Đajić receives Sputnik vaccine, healthcare workers from RS to go to Serbia for vaccination

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Vaccination against the coronavirus began today at the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska.

The first dose of the Sputnik coronavirus vaccine was received by the director of the UKC RS, Vlado Đajić.

Thirty employees in the COVID wards of the largest healthcare institution were also vaccinated. The vaccine was also received by Branislav Zeljković, director of the Institute of Public Health.

"We are the first to manage to procure the vaccine. New doses of vaccines are coming next week," said Đajić.

Đajić announced that 5,000 healthcare workers from RS will go to Serbia to receive the vaccine.

Alen Šeranić, Minister of Health of RS, said that the next contingent of vaccines should arrive next week.
