Dačić: Republika Srpska is an international creation, invented by the US, not us

(Patria) - Serbia is certainly not behind the destruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor does it support it, but it absolutely opposes attacks and attempts to destroy Republika Srpska, said Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić today.

Dačić believes that the thesis is constantly being imposed that Serbs are the main disruptive factor, and that "no one wants to say that in the whole story there is a desire for the unification of BiH and the abolition of entities".

He states that Serbia is very concerned about the situation in BiH and that it is for the preservation of territorial integrity and therefore believes that the solution should be in dialogue.

- I think it is a common interest to try to live as well as possible, to cooperate with each other and for all of us to go towards the EU - Dačić told b92.

Speaking about the tense situation in BiH and the attitude towards Republika Srpska, he emphasized that this is not the first time, and that "international representatives have done this several times in relation to Republika Srpska and that they do not want a strong Republika Srpska, because it is a barrier to the unification of BiH".

Dačić assesses that High Representative Christian Schmidt should try to be a unifier, not impose his will.

He said that in Sarajevo "they react terribly when someone tells them - if Muslim Bosniaks have nothing against the independence of Kosovo, what are their arguments to say something against Banja Luka?"

- There is no answer, they try to explain that it is not the same. I did not say it was the same, but Republika Srpska is an international creation, an internationally recognized entity, which was invented by the USA, not us. Now you are rushing to support Kosovo, and you do not see that you have a problem in your own backyard - said Dačić.

He added that Pristina is "killing itself" by saying that international presence in Kosovo should be abolished, and asked "what about the international presence in BiH, on what basis".
