MONTENEGRO Negotiations will be key for the winner

(Patria) - Analysts Sergej Sekulović and Ljubomir Filipović announced, on the show "Election Night" on TVCG, that overall the campaign had a gentlemanly framework and European context. Filipović, commenting on the high turnout, announced that the church, which took an active part in this campaign, caused many people who had been abstaining until now to go to the polls. They emphasized that one should not rush with projections, and that whoever wins, the focus will be on negotiations.

Analyst Ljubomir Filipović, commenting on the statement by Nela Savković Vukčević from DPS that they have 37 percent and that they will form a government with the current coalition partners, says that it would be natural for the SDP to lean towards the DPS.

The focus will be on coalition and difficult negotiations, says Filipović.

"There will be many great ambitions, and whoever achieves a majority, the focus will be on negotiations," he stated.

He believes that it is natural for the SDP to extend a hand to the DPS, both ideologically and due to the value system.

"The behavior of URA and the MPs from URA will be very interesting, and I am sure, observing their political path, that they do not share the same values as the people in the "For the Future of Montenegro" coalition," he stated.

To the statement that Abazović previously announced that he would also be in a coalition with DF, Filipović says that it is almost impossible to imagine that the first five people on the URA list would support someone who does not share their value system.

"I am aware, because I was in politics myself, that when pressure comes on these people, pressure from their environment and friends, it is almost impossible to imagine the first five people from that list supporting someone for the position of prime minister who does not share their value system," he stated.

Analyst Sergej Sekulović says that everything hinges on one or two mandates, it is important to be patient, and emphasizes that one must not rush to conclusions.

"The role and weight of SDP and URA are now much greater. And in the context of who the SDP could be the deciding factor with, they have said that they have not closed themselves off to anyone. And Ura came out with the idea of an expert government, I assume that political support in Parliament would be sought from the "For the Future of Montenegro" coalition and the "Peace is Our Nation" coalition, and if I understood correctly, these experts would be non-partisan figures," Sekulović stated.
