MONTENEGRO TO THE MEASURE OF ESKOBAR AND VUČIĆ 'Knife, wire, Podgorica'

This is not the worst Montenegro in history, not only because of those who are destroying it, but also because of those who are not defending it.

Come on now, in chorus: the parties of the centrist bloc – "our hopes for a better tomorrow"; come on, media pimps and civil passivists in the face of clerical fascism; come on, excellencies tasked with inoculating us with Western values, you who lick hands and flex muscles for the creators of Greater Serbia projects – come on now, in chorus: it was an isolated incident, but we must keep our eyes wide open! Let it not happen again. Like in Turkish series – gecmis olsun.

Offer that pathetic explanation and "solution" to the numb Montenegrin public and your prepared governments. Do your best not to notice even the tip of the iceberg of unbridled fascism and hatred. So that no one feels the stench of a decaying society and a disintegrating state, so that no one is disturbed.

Come on now, everyone in chorus: we don't want the past, we want to deal with the future. Well, here is your future, it has revealed itself to you in front of the "Budućnost" stadium, in the center of the Capital City! "Knife, wire, Podgorica" – in chorus, transparently, already accustomed to the new Nikšić and the new Montenegro.

What, you mentioned above, was not clear to you when it was repeated a hundred times: denying the genocide in Srebrenica is another name for readiness to repeat the genocide; celebrating the Podgorica Assembly is another name for readiness to extinguish Montenegro. As soon as the conditions for it are created. And the conditions have been diligently created for several years now. The fans of "Sutjeska", a club owned by the city of Nikšić, the former "Perjanica" of Nikola, are not mindless thugs, but spokesmen for a policy that, as the "fathers" in cassocks would say, has "manifested itself" on August 30.

And? Did anything unexpected happen? Anything substantially new? Ah, yes... obviously, Muslims (Bosniaks, Muslims) are no longer exclusively "false people", now Montenegrins are too. At least Podgoricans, although this ideology does not descend to the local level, it cuts across national and religious lines. And it is known where "false people" belong. The code is – "Srebrenica". And with what methodology. The code is – "knife, wire".

Why, then, the surprise, "dear" Judy Rising Ranke? And the equally dear Karen Maddox. You haven't had the opportunity until now to find out how your "dears" poetically defined members of the Islamic faith. Celebrated Ratko Mladić and Radovan Karadžić. Who systematically inspired that mob with such a worldview? You are only finding out this morning. Practically before leaving, after the job is done, not in, but with Montenegro. The "second" or "little Ukraine", as a bishop, much less eloquent but much more prone to executing directives "from above", likes to call it.

For God's sake, does Your Excellency Oana Kristina Popa remember how, in our first (and only, to mutual satisfaction, I believe) meeting at the beginning of 2021, she superiorly introduced me to Aleksa Bečić and Dritan Abazović, as young politicians and guarantors of Montenegro's secure future? Today, they are caricatured pre-election mafia hunters. It has long been my regret that I crudely outlined for her the path Montenegro would take, led by such people.

Montenegro is a "cancer", Tanja Fajon diagnosed it well. Which has, in the meantime, metastasized. Pljevlja got a mayor who welcomed "balije" brave enough to come to vote with carefully chosen words. And a government composed of the Democratic Front, PES, and Democrats, which has not appointed a single Bosniak to over thirty positions in the city. Probably not a Montenegrin either, but let me leave a little room for reserve... maybe one slipped through. Montenegrins are not as easily identified by their names as Bosniaks.

It also got a president of reconciliation who has never distanced himself from his promoters on social networks, for threatening voters from the diaspora that they would end up in refrigerated trucks if they dared to come. A president whose victory was celebrated with the flags of another country, by figures who look like they came out of Veljko Bulajić's film "Neretva" (but not in the uniform of Ljubiša Samardžić and Boris Dvornik), while his closest party comrades declared the official flag of Montenegro "temporary". And on top of that, he refused the inauguration in Cetinje and remained silent about the gaffe of "decontaminating" the Capital City. Well done! That's how you become president of "all citizens".

Yes, that is the image of a reconciled Montenegro tailored to the diplomatic ruins Christopher Hill, Gabriel Escobar, and the like. This is a European and pro-Western Montenegro, on the honorable word of those appointed to the measure of Aleksandar Vučić and Porfirije Perić. And, in fact, to the measure of a "monolithic" Russia, to which the Western Balkans have been handed over. It's just that no one in Washington has been informed of this yet.

However, this is also the image tailored to the limp and disorganized, truly civic and pro-Western Montenegro. Hampered by hopes that someone from the outside or someone they are used to from previous decades will solve the problem of sinking into Greater Serbian clerical fascism. This is not the worst Montenegro in history, not only because of those who are destroying it, but also because of those who are not defending it.

If "knife, wire, Srebrenica" is not a clear enough call to end our deep sleep, if this is not the edge of the abyss from which at least some of those who have been "useful idiots" of the policy that expressed itself to us last night will turn back, then – I regret to say. Then we are merely a population, a great rabble that, for someone else's trough, has forgotten everything of its own, everything that made us a people worthy of a state.
