Montenegro: Euro-Asfalt awarded an 82 million BAM contract

In Podgorica today, at the premises of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs, an 82 million BAM contract was signed, awarded to the Bosnian-Herzegovinian company Euro-Asfalt in an international tender, reports Patria agency.

The contract was signed by the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurković on behalf of the ministry as the investor, and Hamed Ramić, CEO of Euro-Asfalt.

Hamed Ramić thanked everyone involved in the decision-making process that resulted in the signing of this valuable contract for the trust placed in them.

- As the owner of the company, I am proud because we have been given another opportunity for an excellent reference and a chance to demonstrate in practice, in this country too, why we have become one of the most respectable construction companies in the region in two decades of existence. I believe that we will complete this job, like many others we have done, ahead of the deadlines stipulated by the contract, maintaining high construction standards, using the highest quality materials and the most modern construction equipment we possess - Ramić said.

Minister Nurković expressed his satisfaction with the fact that he is signing the first significant contract with Euro-Asfalt since his recent appointment as minister in the new Government of Montenegro.

- Your references, recognized in the region, have brought us to the same table today. Everyone in Montenegro is eager and can't wait for the work to begin. The route to be built is extremely demanding, located at an altitude of 1,500 meters, and is very important, primarily for the residents of the northern part of the country - stated Nurković.

The company Euro-Asfalt submitted the most favorable bid for the project of construction/reconstruction of a 14-kilometer long route on the Lubnice - Jezerine section (Berane – Kolašin locality) in Montenegro.

The project includes the reconstruction of the existing and construction of a new route, which features the Klisura tunnel (one tunnel tube) with a total length of almost three kilometers and evacuation tubes for pedestrians, the Jezerine bridge 90 meters long, an 80-meter long gallery, as well as traffic equipment and signaling, along with works on the construction of the electrical and hydrant network, as well as a control center, substation, and reservoir.

The construction deadline is 36 months. In this tender, Euro-Asfalt submitted a bid more favorable than those from renowned companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Turkey, and China, once again showing that for domestic companies, if they are serious about their business, there is work and that borders do not exist.
