Čović in New York: Meetings with Vučić, Vujanović, Plenković, Cerar

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović is staying in New York on the occasion of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.

The main debate was opened by Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. In his address, he emphasized that only united can we work on building peace, trust, and progress in the world. He specifically mentioned refugees, stating that we are not only facing a refugee crisis but also a lack of solidarity.

The chairman of the main debate of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, Miroslav Lajčak, specifically addressed young people in his speech, saying that promises made to the upcoming generation about progress must be kept, and the environment and the planet itself must be protected.

On the sidelines of the first day of the main debate, Čović met with Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary-General of NATO, whom he briefly informed about Bosnia and Herzegovina's progress on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration. He also had brief meetings with Filip Vujanović, President of Montenegro, Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia, Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Miro Cerar, Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, and Sebastian Kurz, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria.

Čović is scheduled to address the main debate of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday morning.
