Čović "coincidentally" in Serbia: Seeking support from Zagreb and Belgrade to revive the so-called HRHB

Coincidentally or not (he claims it's a coincidence), the BiH Presidency member and HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović will conclude his regional tour in Belgrade tomorrow.

No more, no less, than a meeting with Aleksandar Vučić, the Serbian Prime Minister, who is hosting politicians from Republika Srpska in Belgrade at the same time. Thus, two members of the collective presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Čović and Mladen Ivanić, will be in the Serbian capital at the same time, writes the Patria News Agency.

Čović sent a message through the media that he is going to Belgrade "to talk with Prime Minister Vučić in a friendly tone, and I think this is the way we should solve problems".

-Regardless of the existing differences, I am convinced that only through such frequent communication can we solve problems.

I know there will be different comments about my talks in Belgrade, but that is our job and I have a responsibility for the job I do. I believe this is the only way to stabilize internal relations in BiH and the situation in the region - says Čović.

As Patria learns, Čović is a messenger, and of course, the timing of the meeting is not coincidental.

- These are messages from ambassadors in BiH with whom he has recently had talks, related to calming down SNSD leader Milorad Dodik and his warmongering rhetoric, and to the referendum in Republika Srpska, which has literally heated up the political situation not only in BiH but also in Serbia and Croatia.

The problem of the referendum has spread to the entire region like connected vessels.

Čović will also convey conciliatory messages from HDZ Croatia leader Andrej Plenković to Vučić, given the strained relations between the two countries, provided that this party wins the elections. Of course, he has also "incorporated" himself into all of this. By meeting with Plenković, and tomorrow with Vučić, he will try to test the ground, whether he has the support of Belgrade and Zagreb in reviving the so-called Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna, which he has already requested in his letter to High Representative Valentin Inzko, explains our source close to the leadership of HDZ BiH.

In Belgrade tomorrow, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić will hold a meeting with politicians from the smaller BiH entity to discuss the current situation and possible further steps. Čović will "coincidentally" be there too.
