Čović reaches out to Milanović: Work together on good neighbourly relations

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović sent a congratulatory message to Zoran Milanović who, according to preliminary results, won the second round of the presidential election in the Republic of Croatia.

"On behalf of the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my congratulations on your election to the office of President of the Republic of Croatia. In your future work, I wish you much success in performing the presidential duties and leading the Croatian homeland for the benefit of all its citizens," Čović stated in his congratulatory message to the newly elected President of the Republic of Croatia.

Čović emphasizes that he is convinced Milanović's state policy will be committed to the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of protecting and achieving full equality and rights of the constituent people.

"I invite you, based on your understanding of the position of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which you demonstrated as Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, to work through successful cooperation on the further development and strengthening of relations between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and, united in the aspirations for solid good neighbourly relations and a developed region, to work together on achieving the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina," Čović concludes in his congratulatory message to Milanović.
