Čović discusses NATO with Vučić: We respect Serbia's interests

MOSTAR, (Patria) - The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the President of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, discussed intensifying cooperation between the two countries in Mostar.

Čović and Vučić also discussed NATO integration, and as the President of HDZ BiH stated, "we fully respect the interests of the Republic of Serbia and the will of the executive authorities of Serbia".

Vučić thanked Čović for his hospitality, emphasizing that he wants Serbian products to be sold in Široki Brijeg, Mostar, and Grude, and products from Široki Brijeg, Mostar, and Grude to be sold in Belgrade and Novi Sad.

"I want even closer cooperation between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2015, we had an exchange of one billion, and in 2018, it reached 1.873 billion. This year, we expect an exchange of two billion. For us, BiH is a key economic partner, and my presence here is understandable and normal," said the President of Serbia.

Čović confirmed that a meeting with the President of SDA, Bakir Izetbegović, on forming state authorities will be held in Mostar on Wednesday.
