Čović watched Croatia at the expense of BiH taxpayers, BiH national team players expressed dissatisfaction

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency and President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović was in Russia yesterday, where he watched the World Cup match between Croatia and Iceland in Rostov.

Čović took to his official Twitter profile to boast about a photo of himself in a Croatian national team jersey, in the company of the President of the Croatian Football Federation, Davor Šuker.

- Active following of the Football World Cup in Russia has not bypassed Bosnia and Herzegovina either, despite the regret that the national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not present on the big stage and in the tournament of the best world teams. President Čović has long shown that he is a big fan and that he actively follows and regularly plays the most important secondary thing in the world.

After the third consecutive victory in the group stage, the President of HDZ BiH and Member of the BiH Presidency from the Croatian people, Dragan Čović, congratulated the players, coach Zlatko Dalić, and the professional staff of the Croatian national team on another great performance, victory, and advancement to the round of 16 of the World Cup. Along with a large number of fans who cheered on the Vatreni in checkered jerseys, Čović also greeted Stipe Modrić, the father of Luka Modrić, expressing his conviction that the next round of 16 match of the World Cup against Denmark will end like these three in the group stage, with a great victory for the Croatian national team – it was announced from HDZ.

The photo caused fierce reactions on social networks because Čović traveled to the match in Croatia from Russia at the expense of BiH taxpayers.

Former and current football representatives of BiH also reacted, who, unlike the Croatian ones, never had the opportunity to be watched from the stands by Member of the BiH Presidency Čović.

Former BiH representative Zvjezdan Misimović shared Čović's photo from the match on his Instagram profile with the caption "no comment" and "masallah".
