
The official visit of the members of the BiH Presidency to Slovenia began on Congress Square in Ljubljana with a ceremonial welcome, with the highest state honors. The members of the BiH Presidency were welcomed by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, reports the Patria News Agency.
After the welcome ceremony, a tete-a-tete meeting between the BiH Presidency and the President of the Republic of Slovenia was held at the Presidential Palace, followed by a meeting of the delegations of the two countries.
President Pahor expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the BiH Presidency and emphasized that it was a great honor, especially since Slovenia was chosen as the first foreign visit of the BiH Presidency in its new composition. He expressed his support for BiH on its path to the European Union and confirmed Slovenia's readiness to help BiH accelerate its integration into the EU.
During the meeting with President Pahor, the members of the BiH Presidency stated that BiH and the Republic of Slovenia are friendly countries with no open political issues. They emphasized that economic cooperation is at a high level but that there are opportunities for improvement. They discussed the possibilities of joint appearances in third markets. The members of the BiH Presidency expressed their gratitude to President Pahor and the Slovenian people for their help during last year's floods in our country.
They also discussed regional cooperation, particularly within the Brdo Process. The resolution of the issue of Ljubljanska banka depositors was also discussed, and Slovenia expressed its readiness to implement the court's decisions.
The members of the BiH Presidency also met with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Milan Brglez. During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and the possibilities for improving relations. It was jointly assessed that parliamentary cooperation is very important for improving relations between BiH and Slovenia. The President of the National Assembly pointed out that there is a BiH-Republic of Slovenia Friendship Group in the Parliament and emphasized the importance of their activities.
During their official visit to Slovenia, the members of the BiH Presidency also met with the Prime Minister, Miro Cerar. The meeting focused primarily on economic cooperation. The possibility of improving cooperation in economy, tourism, and other areas was highlighted. They also discussed cooperation between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, particularly regarding joint appearances in third markets.
The members of the BiH Presidency also visited the Ljubljana City Hall and met with Mayor Zoran Janković.
