Members of the BiH Presidency to visit Zagreb next week

Members of the BiH Presidency will travel to Croatia on an official visit next week. Croatian Foreign Minister Miro Kovač announced this morning on Croatian Radio that a joint session of the Croatian Government and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina will also be held soon.

Kovač said that a return visit to Zagreb by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Crnadak, will also follow, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- Together with my colleague Crnadak, I will sign an agreement on European partnership, through which we will ensure full technical assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path - Kovač said.

When asked by journalists how Croatia can improve relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and whether he is satisfied with the position of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kovač said that Croatia has a special responsibility towards BiH, for several reasons.

- Bosnia and Herzegovina is our neighboring country, Croats are a constituent people there, living equally with their friends Bosniaks and Serbs, organizing Bosnia and Herzegovina. We care, in accordance with the Constitution, about parts of the Croatian people outside Croatia, including Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We want them to be satisfied, to have as efficient a state organization as possible with their friends Bosniaks and Serbs. Croatia is a signatory to the Dayton Agreement. And we want Bosnia and Herzegovina to be a functional state with which we will have very developed political, economic, cultural, and scientific relations... We want Bosnia and Herzegovina to embark on the path of joining the EU. They can count on our full support - Kovač said.

One of the topics of the meeting between the Croatian Government and the Council of Ministers of BiH will be the construction of the Pelješac Bridge. Minister Kovač said that its construction is not in question, as it must connect southern Croatia with the rest of the country, writes Patria.
