Čerkez: 371 persons tested, 31 positive tests, 14 people died in the Federation

(Patria) - Goran Čerkez, member of the Federal Crisis Staff, pointed out that 371 persons were tested, of which 31 cases were positive for coronavirus.

"So far, 2,646 citizens have been tested in the Federation and so far there are 320 positive persons. We want to say that as of today, 14 people have died," said Čerkez.
He pointed out that today he had the opportunity to visit most of the picnic areas and that the number is unacceptably large.

"I am particularly referring to this, it is the first day of the weekend. I went to several locations starting from Bijambare to Wilson's, Vrelo Bosne and Bjelašnica and there are too large groups of people there. I believe that after four weeks of advice and speeches, we should start behaving more responsibly. I would ask all members of the FBiH Ministry of Interior to step up controls, to go to picnic areas and not to allow such violation of the order.

The easiest thing would be to ban everyone from walking, but that is not the solution. I ask you to follow the recommendations tomorrow to protect your health and the health of neighbors and relatives," said Čerkez.

He said that the Crisis Staff, considering all the information it had, brought a liberalization of movement, because they obviously took pensions into account.

"The Crisis Staff of the Ministry believes that it is not time to relax measures, but we ask how after four weeks of persuasion and speeches it is necessary to talk about this. Orders are not needed, but to apply what is asked of us," said Čerkez.

He added that he calls on all people not to succumb to the challenge of nice weather but to go out only if they have a need. He emphasized that no measure is permanent and that they will monitor the situation and when the situation evolves, any decision can be withdrawn.

Regarding the delivery of tests, Čerkez said that they do the distribution of equipment, not procurement.

"According to needs, we distribute it, we do not do procurement, and we are informed that it will arrive either on Saturday or in the next five to seven days," said Čerkez.
