Mehmedalija Osmić, president of the Trade Union of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, held a press conference yesterday "unprovoked" where he, instead of the director Miro Džakula, stated that the circle around those most responsible for tax and customs crime that had been rampant in the ITA BiH for years is slowly closing and that new actions by SIPA and the BiH Prosecutor's Office are expected soon, reports the Patria News Agency.
Osmić enthusiastically praised and expressed satisfaction with the work of the Chief Prosecutor of BiH Goran Salihović and the director of SIPA Goran Zubac, and pointed out that before Salihović came to this position, the Prosecutor's Office had done nothing to prosecute those responsible. It is indicative that the first trade unionist of the ITA, and it is known what trade unions are responsible for, is commenting on important data and information that should be presented to the public by the director.
However, those who know the situation in the ITA better know that Osmić's "butter is not for Ramadan" either, and it has started to be said publicly since the arrest of the former director of the ITA Kemal Čaušević, that he made a deal with SIPA and the BiH Prosecutor's Office and became a witness.
Now Osmić accuses the former director of the Authority Kemal Čaušević of leaving chaos in this institution, and that with the arrival of the new director Miro Džakula, who works professionally, order has begun to be introduced. As a reminder, in his statements, Čaušević also accused Džakula of illegal work in the Authority, so it is not surprising that the controversial Osmić is now praising him loudly.
- Osmić said that knowing that Čaušević, as well as the current director Džakula, mentioned him in statements given to the BiH Prosecutor's Office on several occasions as the main operative in the downfall of the ITA. There is likely a strong connection between Osmić and Džakula now, who will try to get out of this case as clean, because they know what Čaušević said about them, and they also know what they did - says a source of Patria close to the investigation in the "Čaušević" case.
Namely, Čaušević told the BiH Prosecutor's Office, according to reliable information from Patria, when giving his statement, that neighboring Serbia, i.e., the BIA (Security Information Agency), had been intensively working to remove Čaušević from the position of director of the ITA, because they wanted to bring this institution under their control due to large financial interests.
It is known that the economic space of BiH, i.e., the financial aspect, is of great importance to Serbia.
On this "project", as the former director of the ITA BiH confirmed in the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Nikola Špirić, the current Minister of Finance and Treasury, worked, and his main operative was precisely Osmić. As Čaušević stated, the Security Information Agency (BIA) installed the program for his downfall as the head, and thus the downfall of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH itself.
One does not need to go far back in the past to recall how the president of the Independent Trade Union of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, Osmić, claimed that in 2010, he was physically attacked in Lukavica by a certain Refik Morankić, known as Fikro, and that the director of the ITA Kemal Čaušević was behind the attack.
All this story and Osmić's statements were exclusively reported by the media in the smaller BiH entity, and the story about the attack was never investigated, nor was it proven that the attack even happened.
Incidentally, Osmić himself confirmed in a statement to the Patria news agency that he had been to the BiH Prosecutor's Office several times so far, where he gave statements.
- I gave a statement, but I will appear in court as a witness for the BiH Prosecutor's Office. The Panrod operation is very broad, and Čaušević has not been acquitted of guilt, just because he is free, although some have interpreted it that way - says Osmić.
