Turbulence in Croatia: Over 80 Signatures Collected to Dissolve Parliament

The SDP's initiative to collect signatures for the self-dissolution of the Croatian Parliament has been successful. A sufficient number of signatures has been collected for the self-dissolution of Parliament, writes Index, as conveyed by the Patria news agency.

Miroslav Šimić says that MOST has submitted its 12 signatures.

-We do not have precise information on the number of signatures. We are going into elections with the role of credibility. We care about a clear conscience. I do not believe that HDZ will delay. I believe that today it will be shown that we have 76 signatures, he said.

-We did not have formal meetings with SDP, only individual conversations. There were no secret talks, Šimić stated.

HNS's Beus Richembergh confirmed that enough signatures have been collected to dissolve Parliament.

Zoran Milanović is going to Pantovčak to meet Kolinda Grabar Kitarović at 12:40 PM. SDP confirmed to Index that they have more than 80 signatures, and Peđa Grbin confirmed this in Parliament.

-At this moment, a majority has submitted a request for the dissolution of Parliament, Peđa Grbin announced.

-We have submitted a request, we propose that the session be adjourned, and that at 1:30 PM, after consultations, you determine the continuation of the session and add an item to it – a proposal for a decision on the dissolution of parliament, Grbin said.

Drago Prgomet confirmed that HDRID has also submitted a request for the dissolution of Parliament.

-We do not know when the elections will be, we hope they will be in September. We ourselves submitted the initiative for the dissolution of Parliament, Prgomet said.
