When Dodik protested in 2004, it never occurred to us to organize counter-protests, said the Secretary General of PDP, Miroslav Brčkalo, today in Banja Luka, after the ruling coalition led by SNSD announced counter-demonstrations. Counter-protests are the government's response to the protests announced by the opposition in Republika Srpska for May 14.
Thousands of citizens are expected on the streets of Banja Luka, who will demand the departure of SNSD and Milorad Dodik. The authorities in RS are linked to numerous scandals, while the economy of this BiH entity is on the verge of collapse, writes NAP.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić expressed concern today about the protests in Banja Luka. He called on citizens to remain calm. He said that all disagreements and unrest should be resolved peacefully, and that conflicts are absolutely unacceptable at this time.
- The Government of the Republic of Serbia is convinced that the citizens of RS will be able to preserve the dignity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, RS and Serbia - said Vučić.
- We absolutely do not need a Serb-Serb conflict, nor a Serb-Bosniak one. If even one incident were to occur, no one would be able to stop it anymore - said Vučić.
Brčkalo believes that Vučić should send such messages to SNSD and Milorad Dodik, not to the Alliance for Changes. Because, the least the Alliance wants is conflict, writes NAP.
