Blinken congratulates Serbia: EXPO 2027 bid was more convincing than ours

(Patria) - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken congratulated Serbia on being chosen to host the international exhibition EXPO 2027, Serbian media reported.

"Thank you to everyone who supported the US bid to host EXPO 2027. Congratulations to Serbia, as its bid was convincing, and we look forward to the opportunity to showcase an incredible exhibit at the exhibition," Blinken wrote on his Twitter profile.

Serbia was chosen to host the EXPO 2027 exhibition, winning in all four rounds of voting at the General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

In the final round of voting, its opponent was Spain. Besides these two countries, the candidates were also the US, Thailand, and Argentina.
