Bosnia and Herzegovina faces Serbia seeking a spot among Europe's top four teams

The junior basketball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play a quarter-final match against Serbia tonight at the European Championship for players under 18, reports Patria News Agency.

Our national team's coach, Boris Džidić, ceded the role of favorite to Serbia before the match, but believes that his players, with a smart and serious approach, can achieve another victory.

- There are no big secrets here, the winner will be decided by details, willpower, but above all, I think by rebounds and unforced errors, turnovers – says Džidić, reminding that there are no special secrets among the players as most of them know each other.

Džidić also commented on the victory in the round of 16 against Slovenia, where our players showed exceptional mental strength in moments when they were trailing.

- First of all, I would like to congratulate the players on an important victory over Slovenia, especially in the way we did it, turning the score around with a 14:0 run in the last five minutes to win the game. I know it might not look the prettiest for our fans, but it's not the first time we've done this, and we've turned things around like this against France, and beaten Slovakia. This shows that the team has strong mental fortitude and is physically prepared to meet the challenges for all 40 minutes – emphasized Džidić.

One of our best players in this championship, Kenan Kamenjaš, says that the national team has achieved its goal by reaching the top eight in Europe, but that they don't intend to stop there.

- We have achieved our goal, but we will not stop there. A tough and uncertain match against Serbia awaits us until the very end. If we beat a basketball powerhouse like France, I don't see why we shouldn't celebrate against Serbia and advance to the semi-finals – stated Kamenjaš.

In the group stage, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team defeated France and Slovakia, lost to Latvia, and won their round of 16 match against Slovenia.

Tonight's match against Serbia starts at 8:15 PM, and if they advance to the semi-finals, BiH will play against the winner of the match between Italy and Lithuania.
